In My Opinion...

For starters, schools should abolish state testing. It is unfair to ESL students, as well as those in lower-funded schools, is unreasonably high-stakes, and takes time away from real instruction.
-
There should be a later start to schools. Kids already get less than the required amount of sleep each night and this negatively effects work ethic.
-
Most importantly, there needs to be a bigger push and more open options for counselors. School already causes depression, and now it is becoming main targets for teenagers to take violent action to. With easier access to mental help, there needs to be stricter gun laws in place in order for shootings like Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, and Stoneman Douglas to never happen again. The gun ownership age should be raised to 21. One who can't legally drink alcohol should not legally be allowed to obtain a lethal weapon, especially one such as an AR-15.

We need to personalize teaching in schools. As of now, we stuff hundreds of kids at different levels with different interests into the same rooms for 7 hours 5 days a week. That is helping no one. Here's a more in depth look: I JUST SUED THE SCHOOL SYSTEM !!!
